The 2011 Fiducian Legends: Australian PGA Senior Championship was won by Peter Fowler. From 27 to 29 October, Peter Fowler battled it out at Killara Golf Club on Sydney’s North Shore against golfing greats including David Hill, John Clifford, Michael Clayton, Rodger Davis, Lyndsay Stephens and Wayne Smith.
Managing Director of Fiducian and major sponsor Indy Singh also identifies the importance and value of the PGA Legends Tour. “At Fiducian a large part of our business is to provide professional support that helps Australian seniors manage their investments and finances in or when approaching retirement. Assisting and promoting seniors golf is just one small way that we can contribute to the community.”

Australian Cyclist Chloe Hosking

Fiducian were sitting on the edge of their seats as Canberra road cyclist Chloe Hosking cycled her way to a Commonwealth Games bronze medal at this year’s Commonwealth Games in New Delhi India. Having supported Chloe for many years we were thrilled for her success and look forward to watching her future successes. Congratulations Chloe!

Marist Canberra Rugby Team

In April this year Fiducian Financial Services sponsored Marist Canberra Rugby Team on their tour of New Zealand. A total of 26 players travelled to New Zealand pre-season to play five games over 6 days, including Fiducian Adviser John Gillespie's son Robert who plays in the team.
The games were all played in good, competitive spirit and the Marist boys were on fire. They won 4 out of 4 games in Christchurch. The games were played in fine NZ weather and in the final game Robert Gillespie scored the winning try. The team also continued their winning streak in Auckland with a win over Papakura High School 20-12.

Maltese Radio Program 2GLF 89.3 FM

Fiducian has also been pleased to sponsor the Maltese Community Radio Program. A radio program broadcast at 10:00am every Sunday on 2GL 89.3 FM.  Our sponsorship over the last 3 years and the generous support of local volunteers, mainly retirees, ensures the successful airing of the program.

Fiducian Your City Project

For the third year running, Fiducian is thrilled to be major sponsors of the Fiducian Your City Project. The project, which has been running within Sydney Rotary since the early 1980's, sponsors a group of 20 children from far western NSW to travel to Sydney for a fun filled week of sightseeing, learning and motivational activities.

Fiducian are happy to support the Malinda Jarry Fund, in support of the St. Vincents Hospital Intensive Care Nurses' Education programs. Our support of this special initiative will help provide clinical training and leadership development opportunities for the intensive care nurses. It also helps to fund tertiary scholarships, education materials and workshops for the nurses in order to continue the highest standards of critical care at St. Vincent's Hospital"

Found in St Helens on the East Coast of Tasmania, St Helens Bowls club is the focal point for bowls on the East Coast of Tasmania. Our sponsorship with the Bowls Club supports the Club's Annual Bowling Carnival, a 3 day tournament that draws participants from all over Tasmania.

Strathdon Community - Cruden Farm Family Day

Fiducian are pleased to sponsor the Cruden Farm Family Fun day at Dame Elisabeth Murdoch's beautiful property, Cruden Farm in Langwarrin Victoria in December 2009. All proceeds from the day will go to benefit the frail aged at Strathdon Community, a not-for-profit Aged Care facility.

Giant Steps

Fiducian are very pleased to support Giant Steps, a group founded to help educate, help and support children and families experiencing autism.  Located in Sydney, Giant Steps seeks to develop intensive therapeutic and educational programs to ensure that each child has the opportunity to reach their full potential. They also seek to provide support to families, to improve understanding of autism in the wider community and to develop best practice among carers and professionals.

Queensland Leukaemia Foundation

Throughout 2009 and 2010 Fiducian have been extremely proud to support the Queensland Leukaemia Foundation. With over $6,000 raised through different fundraisers, going to the foundation. The Leukaemia Foundation is the only not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and related blood disorders. This care includes the provision of 'home away from home' accommodation near major treatment centres, information and emotional support, education and support programs, transportation to and from hospital, all free of charge.
